I’ve been holding off writing this post for as long as I could, but I feel it cannot wait any longer. Glee will always have a special place in each of our hearts for different reasons. We’ve all grown a little older, a little bolder and a little wiser. Glee has helped many along that journey. I know that we, here at ConfessedGleeks, have been a bit distant for the last couple of seasons but that’s just it: life. We move on, we grow and we rise.
Glee performing Loser Like Me was a big turning point for me. The episode aired just at a point when I needed it most. Everyone starts out as a “loser” in life. In many ways, I am proud to be a loser and I hope that I remain so at heart forever. In order to become something special, you have to start somewhere. We all have the potential to be a star. I just hope that as we all rise, we remember what it was like to be that loser.
Leap for your dreams. Aim for the stars and, even if you miss, you’ll be over the moon. I’ve spent the last two years of my life trying to make the most of each and every day. I can proudly say that I’ve owned every second that this world could give. There have been many highs and many lows. I’ve spent a lot of time recently fighting to get a new business off the ground (shameless plug – check out WaveWall). There have been sleepless nights, there have been tearful days and there have been many, many times when I have wanted to give up. But I haven’t given in. Now things are looking up for me. Keep on keeping on.
Even when it may seem as though the world is pressing down on you and there is no light at the end of the tunnel, remember that there is always someone out there for you. We are young, we are the dreamers, we will fly.
Glee is a world in which the quarterback can make friends with the gay kid. Although the world that we live in may not be as such, we can at least try to see the world not as it is, but as it should be.
Thank you for a wonderful journey over the past few years. Never stop believing.
Sadly one of our favorite Glee members has passed away, Cory Monteith (Finn Hudson on Glee) . Cory Monteith, aged 31, was found in his hotel room at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver around noon on Saturday sadly gone.
Staff of the hotel went to check on him when he hadn’t come down to check out.
News is he was “clearly deceased” when police arrived. TMZ reported that it was stated by the police ”he was in the room last night with some friends before the group hit the town … and he came back early this morning alone”.
No foul play is suspected … and cops say “it was not immediately apparent” what caused his death. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.”
“On behalf of the Vancouver Police, I want to pass on our condolences to the family, friends, castmates and millions of fans of Mr. Monteith,” acting chief Doug LePard said.
“As was the case in countless homes, I watched ‘Glee’ regularly with my daughters, and I know there will be shock and sadness in many households with the news of his tragic death.”
I think the most ironic detail about this incident is that the last time I reported back in April, Cory was heading into rehab to treat his drug addiction. We all thought he was going to be okay.
This has been one of the hardest events to process because at first it just didn’t make sense. Cory was so young and he was working on fixing his mistakes, it doesn’t seem fair.
As soon as the event was confirmed I thought about Lea. Lea Michele and Cory Monteith were planning a great life ahead of themselves together.
“I want to get married and have children and live happily ever after. That’s important to me.”
It’s hard to believe such an incredible journey of such a talented performer and actor has ended.
Gleeks everywhere have been given strength too by the trending hashtag on Twitter #StayStrongGleeksFromDirectioners. Many celebrities and YouTube stars have sent out their condolences and have rethought about how lucky they are to have such an incredible fan base.
YouTuber and Radio Personality, Ricardo Ordieres stated on his Twitter: “In times like these always remind your friends and loved ones how much you love and appreciate them… I love all of you so much.”
Entertainment guru, Perez Hilton stated on his Twitter: “One of his last Tweets. RT
@CoryMonteith sending out big love to everyone. thank you for the continued support! It means the world to me! ” and “#LOVE”
All in all this has been a very emotional event. Our team here at Confessed Gleeks send out our sympathy and condolences to everyone who was ever known Cory or has been involved with his life. He leaves behind many of his great cast mates and crew of Glee and friends, his mother, who raised him by herself, his father and brother Shaun. Please be respectable and aid them all with privacy during this hard time.
But lastly I would like to say thank you. Thank you Cory for the lessons you have taught the Gleeks around the world, that it is ‘okay to be yourself and to pursue other interests as Finn did with Glee and football. It doesn’t matter what people think of you’.
“I don’t want kids to think it’s okay to drop out of school and get high, and they’ll be famous actors, too, but for those people who might give up: Get real about what you want and go after it”.
Cory was such a genuinely nice guy and to have him gone is heartbreaking but he taught us many valuable life lessons.
We will miss you Cory.
But Thank You.
This just in, Cory Monteith has checked into rehab for a “substance addiction”, although we are not quite sure which substance. Checking in last night, Monteith has been to rehab before for the same addiction when he was 19. In 2011 he told us,
“I don’t want kids to think it’s okay to drop out of school and get high, and they’ll be famous actors, too, but for those people who might give up: Get real about what you want and
go after it”.
After these inspiring words and ongoing smile, it’s surprising that this shocking event has occurred, but then again it really shows how much we don’t know about our favorite cast.
A rep for Monteith also stated: “[Monteith] has voluntarily admitted himself to a treatment facility for substance addiction. He graciously asks for your respect and privacy as he takes the necessary steps towards recovery.”
Voluntarily, graciously, privacy; he really is a kind-hearted guy.
And does this mean Monteith may be missing out on some filming?
That’s all for now and our kindest regards go out to Cory. We wish you a speedy recovery and are very proud of you.
It’s the question on everyone’s mind; well, at least on Fox Entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly’s mind.
I would love to wish you all a gleeful start to the year and I hope your holidays were enjoyable. Also a big happy birthday to Naya Rivera (Santana), who turned 27 on 12th January, Becca Tobin (Kitty), who on 18th January turned 28 and a huge Happy Birthday to Miss Heather Morris who will be turning 26 on 1st February. Send them your gleeful wishes on their twitter accounts. (@NayaRivera & @becbecbobec)
But to refer to the headline, recently at the Television Critics Association, Mr Reilly, when asked about the status of Glee’s Season 5, answered with:
“Yes, that is a real possibility. We’re going to negotiate now for the fifth season and beyond, so we’re talking about those things now.”
So although not completely confirmed, it could be a definite that we are all going to be watching a season 5 (and beyond) of FOX’s hit show.
Regardless of the awkward scheduling this season and the divided story lines from Ohio to New York, Fox is extremely happy and by the sounds of it, gleeful, when it comes to a new season. There could be a few minor changes in the location though, explains Reilly,
“I wonder- could it, and should it, naturally move [to New York City]?I have to talk to Ryan and see where he’s at right now.”
It could be a good idea with so many more core characters set to graduate at the end of this season, but would Glee still be Glee without McKinley?
“[Season 4] was ultimately what became of the spinoff talk: Let’s do it within the franchise.”, explained Kevin Reilly on Jan 8th, “I do think if we can continue to follow a broad array of characters, it’s like life, you have relationships, you have friends, they go off, their lives go on and you get together and, maybe you maintain a friendship, maybe you lose distance. I think we can do that within this world of people you followed”
Mr Rielly was also keen to point out that what lies ahead will certainly involve cast members such as Dianna Agron, Mark Salling, Amber Riley and Naya Rivera.
“Some of them have moved on to other things or wanted to move on to other things, but they love the show, and this gives them a chance to come back and do an arc. It would be fun to continue that morphing.”
But as said by wetpaint.com, “Is this a sign that Fox doesn’t love this season’s new McKinley students?”
Well, let us know any thoughts and comments you have about this “to be confirmed” plan for Glee and any ideas on Season 5 storylines.
Hello Gleeks! The cast is going to start filming season 4 of Glee THIS MONTH. We’re getting closer and closer to having our favorite show back on television, and I can’t wait! Yesterday at Comic-Con, they held a special Glee panel to give us some insight on the upcoming season, and some questions were answered:
- They are working on making Chord Overstreet a series regular! They said they are very close.
- It has been confirmed that everyone who was series regular last year will be returning this year, to some capacity.
- Mike and Tina and Kurt and Blaine will be two couples dealing with a long distance relationship.
- The second episode will be a tribute to Brittany Spears! The story line will be centred around our beloved Brittany with some Rachel Berry life in NYC
The cast also answered some questions from the audience:
- Lea was asked if there was ever an opportunity for Rachel to explore her sexuality, Quinn or Santana? Lea answered she wouldn’t be opposed at all, and what about both?
- Naya is working on her new album, with a single called My Heart
- The “Why didn’t Klaine kiss in the Nationals episode?” was addressed in great length at the panel. Here’s a youtube link to see the video yourself, it’s worth watching. This has been a debate plaguing the Glee audience ever since the finale aired. Is this a good enough answer for you?
- Ian, one of the producers of Glee, thought it would be a good idea to feature Artie’s mom on the show as a hoarder.
- Last, but not least, Jenna would like to see Tina’s struggle becoming an Asian performer, something Jenna has dealt with herself, for it gives something people can relate too.
We’d love to hear what you guys want to see for next season, so leave a comment below!
If you didn’t know already, our very own Chris Colfer has written a 448 page novel titled The Land of Stories. July 19 Naperville, IL, Anderson’s Bookshop
July 20 Skokie, IL, Barnes & Noble

I’ll be attending the Columbus, Ohio singing, and I hope to hear that many of you made it out to one as well! Everyone here at ConfessedGleeks is very proud of Chris Colfer and all that he has accomplished.
A brief synopsis of the book is as follows (taken from EW.com):
Described as a “modern-day fairy tale,” the book will focus on twins Alex and Conner, who leave the real world behind and find themselves in a land where they come face-to-face with the fairy-tale characters — witches, goblins, trolls — they’ve always read about.
